Situated in the hills of one of the most beautiful villages of northern Portugal (Vilar de Mouros), this delightful well equipped villa has a lovely atmosphere and displays a pleasing range of carefully chosen furnishings. It is set within a charming private walled garden where a stylish swimming pool was recently added. A comfortable sitting room opens onto a shaded terrace overlooking the pool, with table and chairs perfect for outside eating.
Whilst the property enjoys a rural setting, amenities are nevertheless close to hand. The local shop in the village is about 1,000 metres from the house.
The ancient fortress coastal town of Caminha, situated opposite Spain at the mouth of the enchanting River Minho, is a 6 minute drive away. Here you will find delightful 15th and 16th century buildings, good selection of shops, restaurants, long sandy beaches and a weekly open air market.
Only a 50 minute drive from Porto international airport or from Vigo - Spain - airport, this villa is in an absolutely central position. Day trip possibilities from Caminha to Spain are endless and enticing. A daily ferry-boat links the two banks of the Minho river. The fine sandy beaches of Moledo and Afife are less than a 10 minute drive away - there is a train station in Caminha which makes it very easy to visit the above beaches (and surrounding towns) without having to manage the drive in and parking. Viana do Castelo, a lively fishing and ship-building port, famous for its winding streets and ancient monuments, is also within easy reach.
Various sports activities including horse riding, water rafting, kayaking and canoeing are available in this region. An excellent 18 hole golf course is set on is set on a hillside just outside the delightful roman town of Ponte de Lima.

Upper floor: master double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and doos opening onto a spacious balcony. Double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and window overlooking the swimming pool area. 1 twin bedroom and another double bedroom also with doors opening onto a terrace. Each of those 2 bedrooms have an ensuite shower room.
Well kept mature garden, sunbathing terraces and lawn. Excellent terrace perfect for al fresco dining. The private swimming pool is 10m X 4m. Car parking.
