This is a charming and careful conversion of a traditional farmer's cottage situated alongside a tributary of the Neiva river which runs towards the long sandy beaches of Viana do Castelo. The interior has been comfortably furnished with a range of carefully chosen furnishings, creating a lovely atmosphere. The living room opens onto the pool area and barbecue terrace with table and chairs perfect for al-fresco meals.
Take a cooling dip in your own private pool, stroll about the lawned gardens as this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. There are various mature trees providing shaded area for dining al fresco or perhaps reading a book whilst enjoying a glass of the local Vinho Verde.
Within walking distance you will find a minimarket and a bar. The nearest village is only 1,200 metres away. A river beach can be found only 400 metres away from the villa where it is also possible to fish or simply follow the century old watermills route down the river.
For a taste of the Minho life, you must visit the picturesque and famous market town of Barcelos (only a 15 minute drive away) with it's XI century roman bridge, main square, cathedral, coffee bars, superb restaurants and shops. Other attractions such as Peneda Geres National Park (35 minutes away), Viana do Castelo historic centre and stunning sandy beaches (20 minutes away), Ponte de Lima roman town (20 minutes away), Braga (25 minute drive) and Guimaraes World Heritage Site (within a 45 minute drive).
