Set in an elevated position and surrounded by large grounds, this typical "Minhota" granite stone house is the result of a careful renovation project. A unique retreat which blends superb views and unspoilt landscape with all the comfort while being in the perfect position to explore the countryside and delightful roman town of Ponte de Lima.

For a taste of the Minho life, you must visit the oldest village in Portugal - Ponte de Lima - with its XI century Roman bridge, main square, cathedral, coffee bars, superb restaurants and shops, Peneda Geres National Park (35 minutes away), Viana do Castelo historic centre and stunning sandy beaches (25 minutes away), Barcelos market town (30 minutes away), Braga and Guimaraes World Heritage Site (both within a 40 minute drive). Activities such as horseback riding, golf, water sports, walking, wine tasting tours or even massage treatment at the villa are always available for the guests. There are many excellent restaurants within easy reach as well as shops.

Living / dining area with a table seating up to 10 people, comfortable sofas, cable TV and closed fireplace. Guest toilet. Doors opening onto the pool terrace (ideal for alfresco dining). Two bedrooms (each with 2 twin beds and ensuite shower room).
Cottage: Double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a kitchenette ideal to prepare light meals.
EXTERIOR
Excellent sun terrace with great views and outdoor table for alfresco dining. Spacious garden with lawn and various fruit trees. Barbecue area and car parking. The swimming pool is 8.5 metres long and 4 metres wide. The depth is from 0.60 to 1.7 metres.
A maximum of 2 extra-beds can be placed at an additional cost of 75€ each per week. -
This beautiful stone farmhouse, complete with a recently built private swimming pool, is perched on a hillside north of the Lima River, offering inspiring views of rolling vineyards and olive groves. Lovingly restored and thoughtfully extended, the original building has been transformed into a spacious summer retreat comprising the main house and an adjacent cottage.
Inside, exposed beamed ceilings and terracotta floors reflect the timeless elegance of the Minho region—famous for its historic manor houses adorned with coats of arms. Bright, air-conditioned bedrooms in the main offer modern comfort in a traditional setting. The fully equipped kitchen leads into a welcoming open-plan living and dining area, tastefully furnished with sofas and an open fireplace—ideal for relaxed gatherings with family or friends.
At the far end of this space, French doors open onto a large terrace with sweeping views across the surrounding countryside. Shaded by sun umbrellas, this terrace becomes the heart of al fresco living. On the upper floor, a spacious second living area opens onto a shaded balcony, offering more panoramic views and a quiet space to unwind.
A few steps up from the main house lead to the adjacent cottage and the private swimming pool, set on a lawned terrace above the property. The pool area enjoys sunlight throughout the day. Uninterrupted views and a shaded area just below the sunbathing terrace offer a peaceful spot to relax and soak in the landscape. The charming Roman town of Ponte de Lima and other Minho region highlights are nearby, though you may find it hard to leave the tranquillity of this hillside retreat.
Ground Floor
The ground floor of the main house features a spacious, fully fitted kitchen with a breakfast table, as well as a shower room and an adjacent storage room with a freezer. The open-plan living and dining area comfortably seats up to eight people, with cozy sofas and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
First Floor
Upstairs, the master bedroom offers twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. Two additional twin bedrooms, each with views over the Lima River Valley, share a large family bathroom. A spacious living room on this floor features comfortable seating and a television, with doors opening onto a balcony that takes full advantage of the stunning valley views.
The cottage
Set between the main house and the pool, the cottage includes a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a private terrace overlooking the pool area.
Exterior
Surrounding the house are ample sunbathing terraces, a manicured lawn, and vibrant flowerbeds. The private swimming pool area includes a built-in barbecue and a large outdoor dining table, perfect for enjoying long summer meals under the sky.
