Extremely easy to reach (only a 50 minute drive from Porto international airport) this villa is situated only 7 kms away from the white sandy beaches of Caminha, a charming traditional Portuguese fortified border town steeped in history, where several battles were fought between Portugal and Spain. Nowadays, this town enjoys much more friendly relations with its neighbour and there is a daily ferry-boat linking the two banks of the river. Standing on a tiny island in the middle of the estuary are the ruins of the fort of Ínsua, built to defend the entrance to the river in the fifteenth century.
The sands of Vila Praia de Âncora (10 minutes away from the villa) extend from the fishing port over to the Âncora river which reaches the coast here after its 15 kilometre descent through the Serra de Arga hills, an attractive natural environment, which features some good walking conditions. This enormous beach experiences some strong Atlantic waves which means high quality surfing. This town is also famous for the variety of good seafood and fresh fish restaurants.

The open plan living / dining room has a A/C unit to cool down this area of the house. The bedrooms benefit from a natural ventilation system created by an electric window placed in each of those rooms.
