We are pleased to offer this lovely country home located in the heart of the prestigious and world famous Douro Valley, the oldest registered wine region in the world.

From this villa guests will enjoy unforgettable stunning views of vineyards and olive groves and the surrounding unspoilt Villages. The Villa is a typical example of a Douro schisty stone built home extensively
renovated from an old ruin, making the whole a superb villa, tastefully furnished to the highest standards.
Every single piece of furniture is authentic and mostly portuguese. The attractive decor throughout the house creates a unique atmosphere that will certainly make your stay memorable.

Guests will be pampered by local staff living on a nearby village composed of a maid and cook who take
care of the cleaning of the house. Other services such as preparing lunches and/or dinners are available at an extra cost. The food was tasted by us and is purely excellent! DAILY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL PRICE.

This villa is a child friendly property making it suitable for families seeking an unforgettable holiday in one of Portugal's most sought after destination.Set within a 10 minute drive from the picturesque village of Pinhão - the current port wine capital - this villa is a good base from which to explore the Douro wine
region and the Tourist Information office in the town can provide information on trips
available in the area as well as wine tasting routes, etc.

The village lies at the base of hillsides covered in vines where the Douro and Pinhao rivers meet. Pinhao is dominated by the various port wine lodges and once again there are a variety of quintas from which you can taste the local wines. Even the train station has an azulejos display illustrating the wine harvest.

One of Portugal's most beautiful narrow gauge railway journeys, the Linha da Tua, runs from near Pinhao at Tua. The journey travels up through the Tua Valley, ending at the pretty market town of Mirandela and takes two hours.

Accommodation (a two storey house):

Ground floor: Fully fitted kitchen. Spacious living room and dining area with comfortable seating, satellite TV, DVD player and music centre. Guest toilet.

Upper floor: Two double bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom / shower room. Each of these two bedrooms has a door opening onto a delightful balcony (that runs the full length of the house) from where you can appreciate superb views over the valley. Twin bedroom with ensuite shower room. Studio room with a sofa bed sleeping 2 adults or 2 children.

Exterior: Sunbathing terrace around and above the irregular shape swimming pool (the widest corner has 6.30 metres). The depth is from 1.10 to 1.40 metres. Pool side shower, barbecue area and games room.

Dinner (30 euros per person including douro wine and port) available on request. DAILY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED IN THE WEEKLY PRICE.
