This well maintained country house is located in a small unspoilt village of northern Portugal, a short drive away from the earliest capital of Portuguese Catholicism and ancient Celtic city of Braga. The property is very private and surrounded by a pine wood. It is tastefully decorated and displays a range of carefully
chosen furnishings, most of which are of traditional portuguese make. The functional kitchen features a
traditional charcoal oven and an admirable antique pot and pan collection.

The surrounding wooded hillside is populated with oak, chestnut and pine trees. The city of Braga is about 15 minutes away. The charming town of Barcelos which has 15th century fortifications, is approximately 20 kilometres away. It has one of the best and liveliest craft markets in the country (held every Thursday). Portugal's National Park - the Peneda Geres - which has spectacular scenery and a wide variety of flora and fauna - is only a 40 minute drive away.

Accommodation (a single storey house):

Two double bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite shower room. Comfortable living and dining room with a sofa, two armchairs, TV, a dining table for 6 people and a closed fireplace. French windows leading out to a covered balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Fully fitted kitchen with a wooden table for 8 people. Door leading to a terrace with a barbecue ideal for outdoor dining. Two additional bedrooms and adjacent bathroom.

Exterior: Annex with an extra freezer and a washing machine. Steps leading up to the private 5,000m2 pine wood. Spacious well maintained garden surrounding the pool area. Various terraces for outdoor dining. The swimming pool is 16 metres long and 6 metres at its widest point. The depth is from 90 centimetres to 2,80 metres. About 800 metres away from the house is a river beach.
