Location: Ourem, Lisbon and Tagus Valley

Within the magnificent walled town of Ourem, a few kilometres from Fatima - one of the Europe's main pilgrimage destinations - the Pousada was built from a cluster of medieval houses, renovated with all modern amenities. Wander through them and relive the days of old. From the belvedere, enjoy the breathtaking view of the Seica River Valley , and catch a glimpse of the world-famous Sanctuary of Fatima.

Accommodation: The Pousada has 30 rooms of which 18 have twin beds and 12 double beds. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, mini-bar, telephone, cable TV, hair drier, locker, bathing gowns, view surroundings.

Pousada History: Pousada Conde de Ourem is situated at one hour from Lisbon, two hours from Oporto, from Tomar only half an hour and from 15 minutes from Fatima, more specifically in the middle of Portugal in the historical village of Ourem. The Pousada Conde de Ourem is made of three buildings, two of them connected by a kind of a tunnel and the third one is independent. The oldest part used to be an old Mercy Hospital , the others were old houses that were restored. The old details are mixed with modern ones. The furniture is basically made of wood.

History of Ourem: This medieval village is very connected with all the history of Portugal. It was on the XV century with Alphonse, IV count of Ourem that the village became more important. In this nice place we can see lots of monuments: the original Castle of the 17th century, the Mercy Church from the 15th century, the Gothic Fountain, the Pillory. In 1755 with the terrible earthquake almost all the buildings were destroyed.

Weddings & Other Events: The restaurant, encircled by a medieval burgh has capacity for 80 people, what makes it possible to set up anniversaries and baptisms that will be part of History. There is the possibility of organizing exclusive weddings in the Pousada.
